One day , the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , “How was the trip?”

“It was great , Dad.”

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.

“Oh yeah , ” said the son.

“So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered:

“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us , but they serve others.

We buy our food , but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us , they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless.

Then his son added , “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Isn’t perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don’t have.

Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your friends!

Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.

“Life is too short and friends are too few.”

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that
person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need
you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with
guidance and support,

To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an
end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire
fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has
come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,

things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson,

love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other
relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Here’s some good old Chinese wisdom!

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

“I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.”

The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?”

“That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.”

“For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.”

“Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”

Each of us has our own unique flaw…

But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

To all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path.

The Ultimate Marketing Seminar in Melbourne was held at the Bayview Eden Motel in what could undoubtedly be described as the widest conference room that I, and many others, had ever seen. The event was run over 3 days and provided participants with priceless advice from 10 of the World’s leading Marketing Experts.

Day 1 started off with a thought provoking presentation by Ari Galper creator of ‘Chat Wise’. Chat Wise enables you to give your online presence that ‘human touch’ by the use of live chat facilities. You can talk with your prospective customers in real time while they are visiting your website; creating trust and potentially significantly increasing your online sales by turning sceptical prospects into paying customers. Ari also spoke about how to use trust-based language while speaking with your online visitors, rather than using the very off-putting salesman type approach we all loath so much. I found this part of Ari’s presentation extremely helpful and relevant to online and offline marketing and sales. To find out more about Ari Galper’s Chat Track System CLICK HERE.

The second speaker for the day was James Schramko, and wow, did he get my attention! James is Australia’s own Internet Marketing Master. He has mastered SEO, PPC, website building, blogging, list building, lead generation and affiliate marketing. James started off his presentation by sharing with us his list of ‘Why Internet Marketing Rocks’. I thought James’ list was so cool that I will share it with you.
James Schramko – Why Internet Marketing Rocks.
•	You can grow it from small to big and profitable
•	You need less stuff
•	Where else can you get a 6 or 7 figure business for $5K or less?
•	You do what you want. You can stay up all night if you want to.
•	It’s the closest you’ll ever get to being a rock star.
•	You can sell other people’s stuff on the net.
•	You can sell your own stuff on the net.
•	You can help other people sell stuff on the net.
James spoke about what the core skills required are to successfully run online multiple profit models at once and how to create your own valuable content that people will want. It was almost hard to believe how much insightful and invaluable information that James shared in his presentation about monetisation techniques, websites, copywriting, list building, getting traffic to your site, and tracking and testing. If you are prepared to be absolutely blown away you can CLICK HERE to find out more about James Schramko. And if you want to know who the ‘Coolest Guy on the Planet’ is; you can check that out HERE.

The next speaker out was Adam Ginsberg, the Number 1 EBay Trainer and Guru. I had previously had very limited and spasmodic results with eBay and Adam made it very clear for me to understand where I had gone wrong. What Adam shared with us was absolutely amazing; I had no idea that there were so many ways the average person could generate an income from eBay, and so many tricks and techniques to making your listings work for you to pull sales. If using eBay to make your fortune appeals to you make sure you check out what Adam Ginsberg has to offer in the way of templates and training. CLICK HERE to go to Adam’s site.

The final speaker for the first day of the Melbourne Ultimate Marketing Seminar was the Millionaire Mentor Brendan Nichols. Brendan shared with us his 5 Ultimate Money Generators as well as some of his proven strategies to maximise on your existing customers and marketing efforts. “There are only 2 things that make you money in business and those are Sales and Marketing” Brendan says. He also touched on time management and says that if a task will not increase your wealth and happiness then ‘toss it’.

This story happened a couple of years ago but it is still as funny today as it was the day it happened.
Just a quick explanation before I get into that days events; I have a condition known as Chronic Pain Syndrome and have a wheat pack that I heat up in the microwave and use to help me with my pain. I also use my Mobile Phone as an alarm clock beside my bed.

I woke up in a lot of pain, as is usual, to the sound of my Mobile Phone’s alarm. I staggered out of bed, grabbing my Mobile Phone and my Wheat Pack and headed into the kitchen. Thinking only of how horrible it is to be in such pain, I dumped my Mobile on the kitchen counter and put my wheat pack into the microwave for 2 minutes. I then proceeded out into the toilet, as one normally does in the morning. Still overcome by the pain and in a daze I realised that I had been in the toilet for some time. So I forced my aching self to get up and go back into the kitchen to get my wheat pack. When I reached the kitchen I paused for a moment to rest on the counter where my mobile phone was but when I looked at my phone, it wasn’t a phone at all, it was a wheat pack! “Oh no” I thought as I turned to look at the microwave. I quickly pressed ‘stop’ and opened the microwave to find the melted remains of my mobile phone! I looked at the timer and it said 13minutes left, which meant that not only had I put my phone in the microwave but I had also pressed 22 minutes instead of 2 minutes. My phone had been happily melting and bubbling away for 9 minutes!
As funny as this might seem (and no, I didn’t get a photo, but know now I should have), the best part was still to come. I then had to ring up my mobile phone provider and explain to them that I needed a new phone because I had just cooked my old one in the microwave!

Susie.

SAVE WET ELECTRONICS WITH RICE

If your camera, cell phone, or other device accidentally gets wet when you’re traveling (or at home), try the following tricks to save wet electronics:

** 1. Do NOT turn it on if it’s wet. Remove the battery and memory card and leave all the doors and covers on the device open so it can dry.

** 2. Vacuum it out. If you try drying the device with a fan or a blow dryer, you risk pushing moisture deeper onto the circuitry. This could cause a short. Instead, pull moisture away from the device with a vacuum.

** 3. Bury it in rice. Rice absorbs moisture from nearby objects. If your camera gets wet, drop it into a container of rice and let it sit for a day. The rice will help pull the moisture out.

** 4. Power it back up. After your camera or phone spends a full day submerged in rice, reinsert the battery and cards, and turn it on. If it doesn’t work, call the manufacturer. Don’t try to hide the fact that it got wet. There are internal indicators in most devices that show water damage.

Why do we teach our children to study hard at school, get good grades, then go out and get a job and work hard for the rest of their lives?

It makes no sense!

As long as there have been successful people they have dreamt of preparing the World’s children for wealth and success in school. Even in 1937 Napoleon Hill saw his book ‘Think and GrowRich‘ as being compulsory study material in schools. Jamie McIntire has also made it a passion of his to have kids study wealth strategies during their school years. Jamie’s book What I Didn’t Learn At School But Wish I Had’ illustrates the lack of business and investing lessons in schools which could literally change the progress of the future for our youth.

I don’t know if things will ever change in the school curriculum but I know they should. I had to learn my business lessons the hard way, like most people do. I believe that had wealth strategies been taught to me at school it would have saved me years of struggle and brought me to success much faster.

Isn’t it about time we started changing the financial face of the world starting with our youth? Let’s show them that there is a better choice. They can work hard for the rest of their lives or they can work smart and enjoy their lives.

‘Passport to Prosperity’ has an in-depth course that guides parents and children through proven strategies and techniques to enable them to get the best results. This course is called ‘The Power Of Success For Kids’.

I’m not going to tell you what you should look for because everyone’s circumstances and needs are different. Write yourself a list of things you might want, and then start to look around at what is on offer. Remember you can always add items to your list as you continue with your research. I’m going to share with you the list of requirements that I wrote when I was searching for the right business for myself:

Flexible hours

Can be worked part time or full time around my other commitments.

No stock on hand, and no pack and post

High ticket, or high end products in one of the 3 mega-niches

Distributor focused compensation plan.

High commissions

GPT model – I get paid when I make a sale not at the end of the month.

Full and free training and support – in my own country.

Proven results from real, ordinary people.

Duplicatable, simple, turn-key systems

No meetings, party plans, or hassling friends and family.

Low overheads.

Low start up costs (I only had $7,000 that I had set aside to invest in a business and from my previous ‘bricks and mortar’ business experiences that is NOT a lot of money!!)

Some or all of these requirements might sound like what you would be looking for in a business. You may also want to add some requests of your own. You might also like ‘product parties’ so you’d add that to your own list.

As you look around for a business you might notice that not all of your requirements get ticked. You may need to compromise on some of your wants, just make sure you prioritise your list, and take care that your higher priority needs get ticked first.

With the risk of sounding like an advertisement – You can check out the Home-based Business I’m running that ticked all of my boxes and more. CLICK HERE Profit and Prosper.net

Business Planning – Creating your Business Plan.

Writing up a Business Plan is a critically important task for a small business owner as it allows them to take better advantage of opportunities, and forecast and possible prevent difficulties that may arise. A good Business Plan will clarify the ‘who’,’ what’,’ where’,’ when’ and ‘how’ of your business ideas. It will also be needed to convey the worthiness of your ideas should you require finance for your business with a third party lender or investor.

What are the elements of the planning process?

Forecasting events, financing, products and services etc.

Setting realistic goals and objectives

Formulating policies for payment terms, account customers and suppliers etc.

Programming and scheduling tasks that need to be done and when they need to be done by.

Budgeting for all areas of finance

Developing procedures for tasks like delivery of products, security, money handling etc

These are the 3 critical questions you will need to answer when preparing your Business Plan

Where am I now?

Where do I want to be?

How do I get there?

What structure should my Business Plan take?

The following elements should be outlines within your Business Plan.

Executive Summary

Business Structure and Legal Requirements

Marketing Plan

Operations Plan

Financial Plan

Action Plan

Your Business Plan should be treated as a work in progress and you should regularly review it and make adjustments as necessary to ensure your business stays on the right track.

To get that Canter photograph I time my shot on the outside hind leg. Watch the outside hind leg leave the ground, come up underneath the horse and shoot the second that leg hits the ground. Remember that there are human & camera reaction times to take into account when photographing a fast moving object and this is why you will need to hit that button a few moments before the horse is in the position you are looking to capture……….
